Design + Style

The following are examples of my work featuring stylized characters composed for maximum conceptual impact with minimal workload. Each character uses only 4 frames and range from 48 to 130 pixels tall

Many Gameplay Mechanics unavailable in this build:

-Most Unit Synergies not implemented

-Most Unit Powers not implemented

-Unit Equipment not implemented

-Game Save/Load not implemented

-Squad Unit Maximum set to 30, standard was 3, increased through purchase

-Player gold set to 2000

Game files are bundled in a single Zip file, no installation is necessary, simply run the game app after extracting

      About 'Demon Rising'

      The Game

      'Demon Rising' was completed conceptually in 2022. 

      It is a squad-based strategy autobattler inspired by Ogre Battle 64 and AutoChess. 


      Although the game is incomplete as a game, it is complete as a prototype with all the structures and systems needed for the full-game. 


      Playable Components:

      Fully navigational menu system, overworld navigation, and squad configuration menu.


      Players are able to recruit new units, adjust unit formation, create and disassemble squads of units, and initiate battles with opponents.


      When battle begins, a dialogue event with multiple choice prompts between the player and the enemy takes place. Currently this has no impact on gameplay.

      Next, battle begins and the units from both enemy and player squads automatically target and attack one another until one side is victorious.


      Further work on the project would expand the Unit Roster to over 100 different units, codifying synergy mechanics, and add a storyline for a campaign mode.
